Current Representatives

During the elections Bucheki has housed the head quarters of the constituencies of both national assembly (NA 118) and provincial assembly (PP 134). In the past Bucheki has played a crucial part for the constituency by electing famous names such as Rana Shaukat Mahmood, Hanif Ramay, Rai Mansub Ali Khan and a lot of others who have come and gone.

All the elected leaders have forgotten the town once they took their seats in the assemblies and thus Bucheki has not seen any development what so ever despite being a gateway to the rest of the Punjab for the local community. Till to date it hasn’t got the much deserved national highway completed despite being a hub for both goods and commuters traveling to the major cities of Faisalabad and Lahore.

Bucheki falls under Nankana Sahib District. The current representatives at the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly from the 2018 general elections are as listed below;

PPP's Mr Shahjahan Ahmad Bhatti was in 4th place with 18,726 better then 12,007 votes in the 2013 elections.
